Description

Learn how to quickly improve your images, even if you may think they are un-usuable. Photoshop has many tricks to improve, rescue and enhance images to make them stand out, whether for websites, print, email newsletters, blogs and more.

This course focuses on the following foundation techniques to get your images looking sharp and media ready:

  • Image retouching
  • Image enhancements
  • Understanding resizing for various social media and other platforms
  • Colour correction
  • Background change
  • Objects removed
  • Text inserted (font, size, colour, and more)
  • Image manipulation
  • White background
  • GIF creation
  • Image restoration
  • Perspective corrections for interior design and real estate

Most importantly this course will have you evaluating your images with a discerning eye for potential, making for smarter judgements when selecting and working with images. This knowledge can make the difference in efficient use of time, knowing how to photograph smarter and adding real visual value to what you present (or when to hire in, reshoot, etc.).

Students will also be introduced to building products such as collages, greeting cards, posters and preparing images for email, web and blog.

Who is this course for?

Beginners to Intermediate:

You may be a complete beginner, or need a refresher or want to learn to be more efficient.

You might be in a marketing role and/or in charge of images and/or social media - where you need to know how to prepare and resize images for upload (Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter, etc), create banner ads for web advertising, set up Photoshop templates for others to rework monthly or weekly, or prepare online or print materials.

Requirements

No requirements. You might like to use some of your own images to work on as it makes it more relevant to your training, or we can provide you with a few to work with.

Study method describes the format in which the course will be delivered.
